Юрій Шухевич проти Дональда Трампа
Увесь час після закінчення Другої світової війни я завжди вболівав за кандидата в американські президенти від Республіканської партії.
Єдиний виняток я зробив тоді, коли балотувався Джон Кеннеді. Але я не вболівав за нього як демократа, а як за першого католика, який мав стати президентом, і він ним став.
А потім мої симпатії знову повернулися до республіканців.
Тільки на цих виборах я змінив своє ставлення, коли почув, що кандидатом від Республіканської партії став Трамп. Бо хіба я можу підтримувати таку особу, як Трамп за його пропутінські заяви щодо України?
Хіба я можу підтримувати таку особу, як Трамп, яку підтримують явні російські агенти, котрі з допомогою хакерів вриваються в комп’ютерні системи противників Трампа.
І при всій очевидності цих дій російських спецслужб, Америка досі залишається безпорадною.
На мій погляд, Трамп давно вже мав би бути знятий з президентських перегонів. Але цього не сталося.
Обрання Трампа президентом стало би трагедією не тільки для України, а й для всього цивілізованого світу, і в першу чергу для Америки.
Якщо американці цього не зрозуміють, то це дуже прикро.
Disqualifying and Deplorable Deeds: Against Hillary Clinton

Recently we’ve been reading emotional appeals to support Hillary Clinton because Donald Trump would be bad for Ukraine. Readers are provided with Trump statements that purportedly disqualify him. Hillary’s actual deplorable deeds are rarely, if ever discussed.
Recently we’ve learned that Ukrainian oligarch Victor Pinchuk is the Clinton Foundations biggest foreign donor. Pinchuk is former Ukrainian president Leonid Kuchma’s son-in-law. Kuchma’s presidency was marred by corruption, closing down of opposition newspapers and the murders of several journalists. In 2004, Kuchma sold Ukraine’s largest steel company – Kryvorizhstal – to his son-in-law Viktor Pinchuk and Rinat Akhmetov for $800 million. That “steal” was annulled under Yushchenko. Kryvorizhstal was auctioned in 2005. Mittal Steel bought Kryvorizhstal for $4.8 billion. Akhmetov emerged from the 1990’s bloody Donbas gang wars, provided huge sums of cash to the Party of the Regions and groomed Viktor Yanukovych.
Between 1999 and 2014, Pinchuk donated almost $10 million to the Clinton Foundation. His Viktor Pinchuk Foundation also transferred $8.6 million to the Clinton Global Initiative while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State. Hillary claims she never met with Pinchuk. In typical Clintonian fashion, spokesman Nick Merrill states “Mr. Pinchuk was never on her schedule”. In two recently uncovered emails, Melanne Verveer emailed Hillary saying: “I had breakfast with Pinchuk. He will see you at the Brookings lunch.” Another email shows Viktor Pinchuk’s name on a list of Foundation donors invited to a dinner party at the Clinton’s home. Pinchuk spokesman Thomas Weihe confirmed both Pinchuk’s attendance and meeting with Hillary. Pinchuk lent the Clintons his private jet and attended Bill’s 65th birthday gala in Los Angeles. Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State when Pinchuk’s company Interpipe exported to Iranian entities that may have contravened US sanctions to Iran.
On September 11, 2012 four Americans were murdered in Benghazi. Hundreds of requests for additional security were denied. That same day, 9 Marines were guarding our embassy in Barbados. The Vienna Embassy had a full complement of Marines. Hillary signed a State Department Rules of Engagement prohibiting the stationing of Marines at any diplomatic station in Libya. As part of the U.S. State Department’s “Energy Efficiency Sweep of Europe”, the U.S. Embassy in Vienna, Austria, purchased a $108,000 electric car charging station for its two new Chevy Volts. On May 10, 2012, just four months before the Benghazi attack, the State Department held a gala in Vienna showcasing the Chevys and other green investments as part of the U.S. government’s commitment to “climate change solutions”. Congress has been blamed for underfunding the State Department but it appears that Hillary’s State Department had different priorities.
After almost eight years of Obama’s “fundamental transformation”, the prospect of four more years with a self-identified “early 20th century progressive” who admired the Marxist, author of Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinsky, is unacceptable. Shevchenko inspires me to say that it does touch me deeply if knaves and evil rogues lull America to sleep and wake her again in flames, all plundered, that touches me with deepest pain.
