The Government of Alberta is organizing a trade mission to Ukraine, which will take place October 25 to 28. Headed by Economic Development and Trade Minister Deron Bilous, the mission will include visits to Kyiv, Ivano-Franskivsk and Lviv.
It`s part of the 2017 Alberta Oil and Gas and Cleantech Mission to Europe, which takes place from October 16 to 28 and also includes stops in Norway and Poland.
The mission will focus on the oil and gas and clean technology sectors with programming in those three countries. Alberta’s Department of Economic Development and Trade will work with the Canadian embassies in market to tailor events, seminars and networking opportunities to the participating companies, which will include business-to-business meetings, business-to-government meetings, other stakeholder meetings, site visits, networking events and attendance at trade shows.
The objectives of the mission include:
• exploring business opportunities in the three target markets
• receiving valuable market intelligence on the oil and gas sector and the latest developments in cleantech
• developing key contacts with local industry players, state owned enterprise executives, governments officials and others.

Mission participants will be responsible for all travel costs, accommodation and meals. However, eligible Alberta SMEs can apply for support to offset mission costs from the Alberta Export Expansion Package (AEEP) – Export Support Fund.
