On November 5, 2015, the Ukrainian Canadian Professional and Business Association (UCPBA) got together with Ukrainian student clubs across the GTA to hold another networking evening. The guest speaker was Andy Semotiuk, an immigration lawyer with Pace Law Firm. Professionals ranged from government employees to architects, to owners of high-tech companies to interior designers and many more.
On November 12, UCPBA held another networking event, Ukrainians in IT. Orest Haluszka of Mobile Customer Connect was the event’s mc. At the beginning, there were introductions by Taras Hetmanczuk, UCPBA President, Yuriy Diakunchak of Ukrainian Credit Union Limited, and George Horhota of BrightLane Inc. (host of the event). The key speakers were Taras Hetmanczuk, UCPBA President, Mark Kushnirenko of MVK Consulting Inc., Alexander Fesiak of Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., Roman Wynnyckyj of LAVA Computer MFG. Inc., and Bohdan Zabawskyj of MERCATUS. The event was attended by about 80 people.
