Bottomline Productions.

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Alberta Provincial Council (UCC-APC) presents Oksana Mukha in concert on Tuesday, August 20th at the Triffo Theatre (Allard Hall, MacEwan University:11110 – 103 Avenue) at 7 p.m..

Oksana is the winner of the 9th Season of THE VOICE in Ukraine. Born in Lviv, Ukraine, she graduated from the Lviv Musical College, studying violin. She toured Europe as a violinist with the Leopolis Orchestra, then began to focus on her singing career. Oksana worked collaboratively with composer/producer Dmitry Katsal and in 2010 debuted on the professional scene, releasing her first CD. Her career continued to grow with concert programs, CDs and tours.

In April of 2019, Oksana received the title of Voice of Ukraine – 9, and was named an Honored Artist of Ukraine in May. Her voice, music and style has been compared to famed Ukrainian American vocalist Kvitka Cisyk who passed away in 1998 in Manhattan after a 20-year recording career. Kvitka was a classically trained opera singer who achieved success in popular music, classical opera, and Ukrainian folk music. There is an annual festival and street named in her honor in the City of Lviv. Similarly, Oksana Mukha has been called “the soul of Ukraine”. Her repertoire spans a variety of formats, from ancient Ukrainian folk songs to contemporary music, including works once done by Kvitka Cisyk.

Tickets for Oksana Mukha in concert are available for $40 on EVENTBRITE. A limited number of VIP Packages including a post-show meet and greet are $75. In addition to this full concert, Oksana Mukha will be making a guest appearance at Ukrainian Day at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village on August 18th. Both events are presented by UCC-APC.
