Mykhailo Zienchuk, Toronto.

On June 7, 2015 following the Divine Liturgy, Father Ivan Palisa of St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church announced that a Ukrainian Armed Forces unit who had been receiving financial support under the program initiated by the Ukrainian Catholic Church of Canada had sent along a special thank you to the parish of St. Demetrius.

The note was also addressed to the youth of St. Demetrius Catholic School who had made donations from their birthday gift money to Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

Over several months, up until the end of May 2015, St. Demetrius has collected over $57,000 in support of Ukraine’s Army.

Those who received special commemorative flags, along with a picture of the soldiers of the 92nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, included Adam Dutkiewicz, Marko, Pavlo and Danylo Slavatynsky, and Pavlo Zienchuk.

A soldier from the brigade wrote a special message to each youth on the commemorative flags:

“Pavlo Zienchuk!
The 92nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are very thankful for the support and financial assistance you provided! Thank you for your patriotism! We are always your army, no matter where you are!
Military call name – Rubin”

“Павло Зінчук!
92 бригада ЗСУ вдячна за підтримку і Вашу допомогу! Дякуємо за Ваш патріотзм! Ми – Ваша армія – де би ви не були!
