Stephanie Sydoriak from Los Alamos New Mexico, USA, and her daughter Chris Sydoriak from Boulder Colorado, visited Toronto on September 18-20, 2015 specifically to attend the Bloor West Village Toronto Ukrainian Festival.
Stephanie Sydoriak is the author of a recent book “An Ocean in Between – 100% Ukrainian 100% American”, about the difficult years of early Ukrainian immigration to the USA.
She also worked as a translator of scientific papers for the laboratory in Los Alamos that in earlier years had the code name Manhattan Project (where the atomic bomb was developed in 1940s).
